Laundry service

Every soldier has the right to use laundry services at no cost through LHBw for the clothing supplied free of charge by the Armed Forces. The scope of these laundry services depends on the soldier’s status. There is differentiation between conscripts and enlisted or professional soldiers.

Laundry is collected as so-called “batch laundry” in the “personal kit laundry bag”. To this, you must attach a fully completed laundry list – according to your status –, containing all the relevant data for proper processing and correct return of your laundry. The laundry lists are available at your SVS or you can obtain them from the local contract laundry.

Laundry is picked up and returned twice per week at defined locations in the barracks.

Your laundry is washed in compliance with contemporary hygienic standards and will be ironed and folded before return.
